A veteran of Israel’s 1948 (Palmach –Yiftach), she is a retired RN, a chiropractic radiologist & a clinic administer. She is also a yacht builder, a holder of a navigation & seamanship certificate and Day skipper Certificate.

A couple of her poems are in the school of the Shoah of the Yad va Sham Museum in Jerusalem. Others have been published in the Magazine of the Association of Israel’s victims of Terror., and several of her paintings were exhibited in Europe.
Renate is featured in The Gold Coast Magic book ‘Undulating’, which was launched on August the 5 th 2008 at the Gold Coast Council Chambers.
In November that year, she exhibited several of her painting in the ‘Artist in Paradise’ venue that took place in the Council chambers as well. Here, and very unfortunately, one of her painting disappeared and the Gold Coast Bulletin asked for its return to no avail.
Throughout her working years in WA Renate has given several lectures on Chiropractic and has spoken about her life and her book, as well as how to write autobiographies from her point of view, at libraries on the Gold Coast and is scheduled to present three sessions in the Limmud – Oz event in the University of NSW, Sydney come June this year, which will include a session of reading her own poetry.
At the moment Renate is working on her next book; Renate’s Book of Poetry, and is busy painting the Victoria’s fires, which touched her deeply; Coinciding this event, she read her moving poems on this subject on the ABC - FM91.7 Radio Morning Show with Nicole Dyer.
Renate is a member of the Gold coast Writers Association, the Poets in Paradise Group, and has been voted onto the board of Gold Coast Magic this year, which she has declined
